Mountain & Lake House anchors a multi-generational family in the Bulgarian foothills, creating a resilient sanctuary dedicated to health and movement.

Representing a unique international collaboration, the project comprises two distinct structures: a main residence for parents and teenagers, and a secondary dwelling for extended family. Designed as a robust "year-round" home, the architecture is engineered to withstand extreme climatic shifts, functioning effortlessly from deep winter snow to bright summer sun.

Driven by a focus on wellness, fluid zones for yoga and recreation blur the line between indoors and out. The construction marries modern innovation with tradition, utilising mass timber prefabrication for thermal precision while grounding the design in the texture of local craft.
