Harrietville realises the long-held dream of a forever home anchored in a deeply loved alpine landscape.

Situated on a site with river access , the design navigates high fire ratings and extreme climate variance through a robust, sustainable response. To manage the scale, the plan is dissolved into four distinct pavilions connected by glazed walkways. This arrangement forms a protected central courtyard where foliage filters views between zones, ensuring privacy and tranquility across the dwelling.

Internally, curved brick walls act as a guide, softening transitions and drawing movement through the spaces. Extensive glazing dissolves the boundary between inside and out, fulfilling the brief for a timeless design that celebrates the beauty of honest materials.
